When I woke up I first saw the sky light in beautiful pink. Grabbing a pair of trousers and my camera, I ran to the highest point of the house, opened the window and took a few shots (the pink had been replaced by orange).
When I checked the histogram, I saw too many darks and lights too my likings. Time to do some HDR then. Shot a bracket of 3 (-1, 0 and 1 EV compensation), and entered them in my HDR software.
The horror! I was shooting handheld! And it was windy! Even the software couldn’t align everything. I still continued, and the result was a very impressionistic shot. However, due to the composition, this pic became my picture of the day. Not much PS has been applied: small crop and rotate, and removal of some dustbunnies on the sensor.
