Ow goodie goodie goodie. I’m gonna shoot me some star trails! First try tonight, after several, ehr, years of actually contemplating. The shot on the right is actually is the first test shot tonight, f/2.8 for (about) 30 sec at ISO 320. Not much trails, as can be expected.
The second photos’ shutter speed was for 15-20 minutes at f/11 (ISO 100). Results are better, but I should have disabled the long exposure noise reduction in camera. After postprocessing only a few trails are visible. No need to complain: the results are better than expected for the first try
In case someone notices – the image was saved on October 24th. But this is only because of the noise reduction software! I swear!
