One of two concrete blocks where my youngest daugther was sitting on. To protect her privacy I’m not gonna show that shot. Instead, I’m showing the concrete walls instead.
While flipping through my older shots, I’ve noticed a difference between my negatives/slides and my digital files. First I focussed a lot on structures, especially when shooting B&W. With my digital equipment, I’m aiming more for striking colors (often exagerated a little in post processing). Plua, I’m not thinking in B&W anymore, like I used to do when I loaded a film like the HP5+.
Mmmh, if memory serves well, I’ve still got my F100 plus a fridge full of negs, slides and B&W ready to be loaded! Now if only someone can spare me a decent scanner, because I’m not gonna struggle with my HP S20 anymore. No dust and noise removal, no multi pass… the horror.
Note to myself: start thinking in B&W again. And homework for you, my dear reader: create a repeating pattern from the block. I’m off to bed.
