Just one of those wanted-to-do-this-for-a-while thing.
It seems so easy: blow some bubbles and shoot. Basically, that’s it but you have to blow the bubbles in the right area, press the (remote) shutter at the right time and try to get something interesting going with the light. I used 2 flashes, one CTO’d and one CTB’d. Angles varying and doing some bouncing via the kitchen cupboards on the left and the heating radiator on the right. Last shots with one flash right below the bubbles. (Well, if I could get the bubbles to go where I wanted them to). Used my camera bag as gobo for some shots, works fine.
After bubbles only I went and shoot some Chase Jarvis ninja style bubbles or you could also say I just poked some with my finger. Got one really surprising result where you can see my finger inside the bubble before it pops.
124 shots in 20 min, 74 rejects, 5 okay shots…
Remember to clean up cause it gets pretty slippery.
