No need to quote the song here I guess. I dropped our little one of in the southern part of our town at my parents in law and took a somewhat different road to work. Not a good idea but that’s besides the point. Took a little side road to get under these bridges over which the A2 goes.

I got some new sunglasses for the wintersport so I thought I’d give it a shot with some gels and 2 white panels. Lighting from above and below created some cool effects. I got one interesting effect by having the purple gel light the two entire screens and lighting the screen wit a strip of yellow light.

In Bergambacht where I work is an abandoned farm. It has been sold lately but there’s still no start on renovation or demolishment. I walked around and inside with a collegue who also has a thing for photography and also joined us in a urban exploring trip to Doel in Belgium. This is shot in the attic of a barn where the cows used to be.

All these little streams had a couple of trees at the end. So at first you go for leading lines and rule of thirds but I thought I’d forget about this for today and use the rule of halves to get a different composition…

water ballet

While in bath playing with a water gun (no, I didn’t bring it, my 2 yr old did) I thought it would be cool to photograph the bubbles shooting into water. So we ate spaghetti and I used the square jar to do this. Lit from below with a red gelled flash. I need a fish tank to get a cleaner shot, the spray got onto the insides from the jar and the jar wasn’t quite big enough.

Here’s another election poster. This one reminds brings back memories from Van Kooten & De Bie’s as Jacobse and Van Es organising the TegenPartij. Especially the quote “Samen voor ons eigen” looks a lot like the quote on this poster. Here’s video
